In the heart of Manchester, a true hero has been quietly but powerfully making a difference for decades. Meet Erinma Bell, a peace activist whose journey from a witness of gun violence to a beacon of hope is nothing short of inspiring.After witnessing a friend get shot in 2002, Erinma and her husband, Raymond, decided they couldn't stand by. They founded CARISMA (Community Alliance for Renewal, Inner South Manchester Area), an organization dedicated to providing young people with positive alternatives to the dangerous allure of street and gun crime. Their mission was simple yet profound: to create a safer, more vibrant community from within.&nbsp;Erinma's tireless work has not gone unnoticed. Her dedication to community service and peace has earned her numerous accolades. In 2008, she was awarded an MBE, followed by an appointment as a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater Manchester in 2011.&nbsp;Her legacy is also cemented in a unique and powerful piece of art: a bust of her, unveiled in Manchester Town Hall in 2017. This isn't just any sculptureit's made from 50 melted-down firearms that were seized by police, a symbolic transformation of tools of violence into a monument of peace.
